CFP: Virginity in Song: Digital Tools for the Liturgy

Sponsor: Hagiography Society

This panel considers the sounds that celebrated sanctity. We are particularly interested in thinking methodologically about how musicologists and other scholars have used the Cantus Database and other online resources to shape their study of the sanctorale, missal, and breviary, of sermon collections, and of other, less immediately obvious genres such as chronicles, necrologies, poetry, and artistic programs for chapels and shrines.

Please send your proposal to Prof. Alison Frazier (akfrazier@austin.utexas.edu)

Your proposal should include your name, academic affiliation, and paper title. Add your email, telephone, mailing address. Include an abstract of your paper in not more than 150 words; send three key-words as well. Finally, compose a one-paragraph C.V. of under 300 words.
