Support Renaissance Studies The support of new scholarship in Renaissance studies is a vital part of the mission of RSA. Your financial support of RSA helps promote scholarship and education. Gifts to the general fund support basic operations and provide a reserve for new programs. Gifts to our named funds support travel and research grants for scholars at all stages in their careers. The Renaissance Society of America is a
501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All gifts to RSA are tax deductible
in compliance with Internal Revenue Service regulations. RSA welcomes the opportunity to work with those who would like to raise funds to endow a grant to commemorate a particular person.
Mellon Match: Paul Oskar Kristeller Research Grants
RSA received a matching grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation to create a permanent endowment for a set of three short-term research grants named in honor of Paul Oskar Kristeller. To meet our obligation to the Mellon Foundation, RSA raised $60,000 in 2011–12, primarily from individual members. The new grants program is scheduled to begin with the 2014 grants cycle. New and continuing donations to this restricted fund will allow RSA to increase the number and size of these research grants.
