The Emperor's Warrior and China's Terracotta Army will be presented at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts from February 11 to June 26, 2011 –exactly during the time of your Annual Conference in Montreal. There is every indication that this exhibition will be our institution’s next blockbuster. Entitled The Warrior Emperor and China’s Terracotta Army, it is the largest exhibition on this civilization ever mounted in Quebec. Presented in collaboration with the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM), it features the celebrated larger-than-life 1.8-metre terracotta statues of the Qin dynasty’s emperor for the first time in Canada. More than 300,000 people have visited the exhibition at the ROM since it opened there on June 26. A similar exhibition at the British Museum (2007-2008) drew more than 850,000 visitors and has enthralled huge crowds around the world.   Enclosed are the detailed news releases about the exhibition, in English and French. The following links will give you access to the official images: in English, and in French. These texts and images will be useful for promoting this exceptional event. I have also attached a promotional document presenting the exhibition and the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.  We also have two direct links to the exhibition website: and
