Tour Location: Weissman Preservation Center conservation lab, Harvard Library, 90 Mt. Auburn St, Cambridge.

Tour Leader: Brenda Bernier, James Needham Chief Conservator and Head of Weissman Preservation Center.

Public Transportation Stop: Harvard Square Station (Red Line T)

Tour Description: Entitled “Preserving Cultural Artifacts from the Renaissance,” this tour will focus on past or ongoing conservation treatment of Harvard Library collections from the Renaissance. Participants will be able to see work in progress, hear a brief description of the work being undertaken, and ask questions.

Reminders: Each member may sign up for only one tour. All tours are free of charge. Tour participants are generally expected to provide their own transportation to and from the tour; the Boston College tour is an exception in that it will offer a shuttle bus. Typically the tours fill very quickly, and there is not room for everyone to attend. If you sign up for a tour and find that you cannot attend, please notify the RSA so that someone else can take your place.
