Tour Description: The tour introduces visitors to the Boston Athenæum’s history, its building’s architecture, and its art collection, including the Athenæum’s early collecting of copies of Old Master paintings and high quality casts of historic sculpture.
Reminders: Each member may sign up for only one tour. All tours are free of charge. Tour participants are generally expected to provide their own transportation to and from the tour; the Boston College tour is an exception in that it will offer a shuttle bus. Typically the tours fill very quickly, and there is not room for everyone to attend. If you sign up for a tour and find that you cannot attend, please notify the RSA so that someone else can take your place.
