A 2-day conference at the Pyle Center, University of Wisconsin–Madison. Featuring speakers on Italian, French and English literature, music and philosophy, centered on concepts and representations of happiness. Speakers will be Christopher Celenza (Johns Hopkins), Katherine Eggert (University of Colorado-Boulder), Andrea Frisch (University of Maryland), Virginia Krause (Brown University), Ullrich Langer (Wisconsin–Madison), Christina Mercer (Columbia University), Donald Rutherford (University of California, San Diego), and a graduate student panel (Aria Cabot, Jennifer Morgan, Anna Rockwell, Jillian Slaight). No registration necessary; public is welcome.
