RSA New Orleans 2018: Early Career Travel Funding

Friday, September 1, 2017

The American Friends of the Herzog August Bibliothek in Wolfenbüttel, Germany (AFHAB) are offering five stipends of $300 each to early career scholars (PhD candidates and scholars up to 3 years after PhD) who have had papers accepted that are based on research at the HAB to be given at the annual conference of the Renaissance Society of America. The stipends will be distributed on a first come first serve basis. This program is open to US Citizens or permanent US Residents. Applicants should provide proof of official acceptance of their papers by the conference organizers and a brief statement of the relevance of their conference paper to research conducted at the HAB. They will be reimbursed after the conference has taken place. Applications may be made directly to Prof. Mara R. Wade (mwade@illinois.edu) at the University of Illinois.
