The RSA Annual Meeting will be held in Toronto in March 2019. Because of Hurricane Maria, which inflicted heavy damage on the island of Puerto Rico in September 2017, we were obliged to reschedule our San Juan conference from 2019 to 2023. Due to the need to find a new location for such a large conference only one year in advance, we will hold our Toronto meeting (unusually) on a Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday: 17–19 March 2019.

Our site will be the Sheraton Centre, located in downtown Toronto. It is a short walk from the Sheraton to the Art Gallery of Ontario and a two-stop subway ride to the University of Toronto St. George campus. We have contracted with the Sheraton Centre for sleeping rooms at the excellent rate of $199 (CAD) per night, plus taxes, with complimentary internet. For our conference sessions we will be using all of the hotel’s break-out rooms.

The last time we met in Canada was our Montreal meeting in 2011. We have not been back to Toronto since 2003. International venues are very important to the RSA, so we are pleased to have the opportunity to return to Toronto.

Philadelphia will be our destination in 2020, on April 2–4, returning to our usual Thursday through Saturday schedule. We have booked accommodations and meeting rooms at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown and the nearby Courtyard Philadelphia Downtown, both of them a short walk from the famed Reading Terminal Market and City Hall. The Philadelphia Historic District, which was the first World Heritage city in the US, is also within walking distance or a short cab, bus, or subway ride. The Library Company of Philadelphia houses collections on American society and culture dating from the seventeenth century. The majestic Philadelphia Museum of Art, originally chartered for the Centennial Exposition in 1876, with its main building on Fairmont Hill completed in 1928, has pay-as-you-wish evening hours on Wednesdays and evening hours on Fridays as well.

In 2021 we will return to Europe to hold our Annual Meeting in Dublin, Ireland on April 8-10. Dublin is a very walkable city, and the Luas light-rail tram system also makes it easy to get around town. The Convention Centre Dublin will be our conference headquarters, hosting the registration desk, exhibits, and plenaries. Our paper sessions and roundtables will be held at three sites: the Convention Centre, the Chartered Accountants House, and the classic Gresham Hotel. Special sessions, events, and exhibitions, before and during the conference, will also take place at Trinity College Dublin, the Chester Beatty Library, Marsh’s Library, and other museums and archives around the city. Admission to all Irish national museums, including the National Gallery of Ireland, is free. Reduced-rate accommodations have been booked for RSA attendees at four large downtown hotels.

In 2022 we will head to the West Coast for a meeting at the San Francisco Hilton Union Square, on March 31 through April 2. The hotel is only two blocks from Union Square and within walking distance of the city's famed Chinatown. Among San Francisco's numerous cultural institutions, the Legion of Honor Museum and de Young Museum merit special mention, as do the libraries and museums associated with Bay Area universities, including Stanford University and the University of California, Berkeley.

The 2023 conference will be held in San Juan, Puerto Rico, at two resort hotels, the Caribe Hilton and Condado Plaza Hilton, located just on the edge of the city (which allows us to avoid the crush of the cruise-ship crowds in the downtown hotels). The historic city is accessible from the conference hotels by taxi or bus. San Juan's historic sites and collections date back to the sixteenth century (and before), including the San Felipe del Morro fortress, the Casa del Libro, and the Museo de Las Americas. In Ponce, a 90-minute drive across the island, is the Museo de Arte de Ponce, which houses a remarkable collection of masterpieces of European painting.

For our Annual Meeting in 2024, we will return to the Palmer House Hilton in downtown Chicago (the "Loop"), which was the site of our 2017 meeting. The Palmer House is located just a 5–10 minute walk from the Art Institute of Chicago and the city's Symphony Center. The Loyola University Museum of Art and the Newberry Library are both within easy reach by public transportation.
