International Spenser Society at MLA 2019 Annual Luncheon:

It’s an honor to announce that this year’s annual Hugh MacLean lecture will be given by Prof. Katherine Eggert (University of Colorado, Boulder) on the topic of “What Does Colin Clout Know, and How Does He Know It?”

In addition to announcing the winner of the Isabel MacCaffrey prize (for articles 2016–17), we are delighted to be awarding the inaugural Anne Lake Prescott Graduate Student Paper Prize at this year’s luncheon. There will also be several notices of import to the Society during the annual report.

The luncheon will be held on Saturday 5 January from noon to 2pm at Quartino, a 16-minute walk from the Hyatt: Please note new registration details and pricing below.

Full time faculty: $45
Graduate Students: $25 per student.

The International Society is pleased to be able to subsidize graduate student luncheons. Please indicate your status at registration. The luncheon includes a 3-course lunch with two options per course (including vegetarian and gluten-free) and one for dessert as well as coffee and tea, all served family style at tables of 6. To RSVP for the luncheon, please fill out your information on the Google Forms link below:

Please RSVP by Friday December 21 so that we can finalize our numbers with the restaurant.
