The Centre for Drama, Theatre, and Performance Studies ( and PLS ( at the University of Toronto are offering RSA members an evening of theatre, 19 March 2019:

John Marston's The Dutch Courtesan, 8:15 pm, at the Luella Massey Studio Theatre, 4 Glen Morris Street, Toronto, ON, Canada M5S 1J1 (one block north east of Spadina and Harbord).

This special performance starts a week of shows, 21–23 March at 8 pm, and 24 March at 2 pm, as part of a conference on Marston's play, 22–23 March, 'Strangers and Aliens in London and Toronto: Sex, Religion, and Xenophobia in Marston's The Dutch Courtesan' with keynote speakers Martin Butler (Leeds) and Michael Cordner (York). Registration for this conference will be announced in the new year.

Please order performance tickets through Brown Paper Tickets ( Seats will be available on a first-come, first-served basis; advance payment for a seat is $10 CAD, along with name and affiliation, and number of seats requested. The seating is general — show up and sit where you can. Special arrangements can only be made for RSA members with disabilities. Please be aware that the theatre is not an accessible space.

Tickets will also be available for 21–24 March for those staying in the Toronto area.

This is a small theatre with a capacity for perhaps 80 spectators. Reserving your ticket is recommended, but all tickets not yet picked up by 8 pm will be released to the waiting line.
