On 18–20 November 2016, will be the "In the Light of Gloriana" Conference, held at the Tower of London. It will feature seventy scholarly presentations from graduate students, early career researchers, and established scholars from around the world. The presentations will be on a wide range of topics relating to the Elizabethan era, highlighting this diverse and rich area of study. There will be interdisciplinary panels of papers from the fields of music, literature, history, art, fashion, film, covering many different persons, events, and locations within and related to Elizabethan England. We will also have three keynote presentations, with the Saturday keynote specifically geared towards a public audience including a separate registration option.

On Friday, from 2:15–3:30pm, Dr. Tracy Borman — joint Chief Curator of Historic Royal Palaces — will talk about the private life, loves, and secrets of Queen Elizabeth I with "The Private Life of Elizabeth I."

On Saturday, there will be a public lecture by Dr. John Cooper from the University of York, from 4:30–6:00pm on "Elizabeth I and the Palace of Westminster."

The final keynote on Sunday, starting at 11:00am, will be Dr. Carole Levin from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, and she will be discussing representations of Queen Elizabeth and Boudicca, in "Boudicca and Elizabeth Rally Their Troops: 'Two Queens Both Alike in Dignity.'"

There will be a White Tower banquet that will include a historically accurate performances of Elizabethan music. We will also have a special guest, The Most Honorable Marquess of Salisbury, from Hatfield House. Registration closes on October 1. For more on the registration options, see
