Webinar: Teaching in the Age of COVID-19

New York, NYTo help members troubleshoot and strategize best practices for teaching, please join the RSA over Zoom for “Teaching in the Age of COVID-19: Access and Collaboration” on Wednesday, August 12 at 12:00 pm EDT (easily convert the time zone).

Attendees are encouraged to submit questions at the time of registration and also during the session, as time permits. The webinar will be guided by your questions and will highlight such topics as strategies for designing hybrid syllabi, how to access online materials, how to address the kinds of work-life challenges that the current situation presents for both professors and students, and how RSA members might help each other by serving as online guest speakers or through other kinds of collaboration.
The webinar will be presented by:
  • Andie Silva, Facilitator, Assistant Professor of English, York College, CUNY and Assistant Professor of Digital Humanities, The Graduate Center, CUNY
  • Jessica Otis, Assistant Professor of History and Director of Public Projects at the Roy Rosenzweig Center for History and New Media, George Mason University
  • Ada Palmer, Associate Professor of Early Modern European History and the College, The University of Chicago
RSA members are invited to register and submit their questions by Monday, August 10. Space is limited.


The webinar will be recorded and made available to RSA members for viewing later in the summer. A discussion thread is also available on Humanities Commons, for those who wish to create a login for themselves and continue the conversation there.
