Announcing ARTES RENASCENTES, a new international association of Renaissance studies

The International Association Artes Renascentes has several goals: An annual conference to take place in turn in different linguistic and cultural areas where the Association is active, and/or holds its statutory meetings. A series of symposia and scientific seminars in three-year or five-year cycles. Posters and programs for these will be published in magazines and exhibited in partner libraries and museums by the beginning of each cycle, so that initiatives will remain topical for the relevant period. The first of these cycles will focus on the five-year period 2014–18. Publication in collaboration with Fabrizio Serra Editore (Pisa and Rome) of a bi-annual or annual periodical which will be the official organ of communication. Publication of a collection of Texts and Studies in collaboration with a leading publishing house in the various linguistic and cultural areas of the association. Maintenance of a website that will accommodate professional updates and exclusively online publications.

The headquarters for the Association are at the Centre “Jean Pépin” C.N.R.S., 7 rue Guy Môquet, 94801 Villejuif, France. The North American correspondent for Artes Renascentes is David Marsh of Rutgers University: dmarsh@italian.rutgers.edu.
