Digital Latin Library Call for Submissions

Call for Submissions

The RSA is pleased to announce a new online publications initiative in collaboration with the Digital Latin Library (DLL). The DLL project, hosted by the University of Oklahoma, is funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation's Scholarly Communications Program. One of its main goals is the creation of a Library of Digital Latin Texts, i.e. of peer-reviewed, open-access, digital critical editions of Latin texts published under the auspices of the three main learned societies that have been collaborating with this project from its inception in 2012 (the RSA, the Medieval Academy of America, and the Society for Classical Studies). An overview of the project can be found here.

The RSA Editorial Committee for the Digital Latin Library is, therefore, now considering proposals for editions of early modern Latin texts. Procedures concerning submission and evaluation of proposals can be found here. Potential editors are invited to explore the information pages at https://digitallatin.org and to familiarize themselves with the Guidelines for Encoding Critical Editions for the Library of Digital Latin Texts.

Please direct any questions to any member of the RSA Editorial Committee for the DLL, Dr Noreen Humble (nmhumble[at]ucalgary.ca), Dr Johann Ramminger (j.ramminger[at]gmail.com) or Dr Florian Schaffenrath (florian.schaffenrath[at]neolatin.lbg.ac.at).
